Protection beyond the standard

The internationally patented Plansecure homes are available in three different security variants:
FB 4 NS / RC 4, FB 7 NS / RC 5, and STANAG 2280 / C5. All of them comply with the highest international protection classes for both burglary and bullet resistance.

Even tilted windows cannot be pried open, drilled out, or sawed through. In the STANAG 2280 / C5 variant, which combines multiple protective elements (slightly limiting design flexibility), the facade, windows, and doors can even withstand artillery shells fired at close range.

German and European standards define the protection classes for bullet and forced entry resistance. The FB 4 NS and RC 4 classes of this security level include the following:

Bullet resistance

against handguns and ammunition up to calibers .357 Magnum

and .44 Remington Magnum

Resistance against hand drills

with a minimum resistance time of 10 minutes against break-in attempts

Resistance against locksmith hammers

and screwdrivers, with a minimum resistance time of 10 minutes

Resistance against crowbars

and physical force, with a minimum resistance time of 10 minutes

In accordance with standards DIN EN 1522 and 1523 for bullet resistance and DIN EN 1627–1630 with DIN EN 356 for burglar resistance, this security level offers:

Bullet resistance

against rifles, assault rifles such as AK-47 or NATO G3, and hard-core ammunition up to NATO caliber 7.62 × 51 mm

Resistance against electrical tools

such as drills, jigsaws, reciprocating saws, and angle grinders for up to 15 minutes

Resistance against heavy tools

such as axes and bolt cutters with a resistance time of up to 15 minutes

Optional supply protection

through additionally installed fresh water tanks and energy storage units

STANAG is the abbreviation for the Standardization Agreement of NATO countries. Among other things, it specifies standards for blast resistance. This safety variant meets Class C5 requirements:

Resistance against artillery shells

with a caliber of 155 millimeters fired from a distance of 1.5 meters

Resistance against explosives

with a weight of up to 7 kg, detonated at a distance of 1.5 meters

Bullet resistance

even against heavy machine guns and large-caliber ammunition up to .50 BMG (Browning Machine Gun, 12.7 × 99 mm NATO)

Optional supply protection

through additionally installed fresh water tanks and energy storage units
